So far, the Region confirmed four poultry outbreaks. </i></p> <p>(…)</p> <p>02.09.2013 </p> <p><em>A poultry worker tested positive for an avian influenza virus A/H7N7 infection after the development of conjunctivitis; this individual entered in contact with diseases birds belonging to an HPAI affected poultry farm at Mordano, Emilia-Romagna Region. </em></p> <p><b>The case is a poultry worker, who attended to eggs and manure collection. </b></p> <p>Another suspected case in under investigation: the case concerns a poultry worker attending the same farms. </p> <p>Emilia-Romagna Region, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, has promptly implemented all needed actions in order to put under control the infection, after the discovery of poultry outbreaks. </p> <p>The number of individuals with previous occupational contacts or exposure to infection amounts to <strong>110 units, among farms workers and people involved in infected poultry destruction.
